Join Lama Tashi in the Chanting of the
Medicine Buddha Mantra
The
SARS outbreak has caused death, illness, wide spread fear and economic hardship to many
people in over 20 countries worldwide. In
these troubled times of war, famine and a new life-threatening virus, it is important for
people with compassion to pray as much as possible in order to pacify those in pain.
Lama
Tashi Dondup has initiated the chanting of the one million or more Medicine Buddha Mantra
and will dedicate merits to those who suffer from the SARS illness and its fallout. It is hoped that this dreadful virus will either
disappear or a cure will be found soon. Lama
Tashi has asked every member of the Karma Tekchen Zabsal Ling to chant the Medicine Buddha
Mantra. He invites all his students
world-wide and anyone else interested to join him in this initiative. He hopes to complete a minimum of one million
chantings collectively by the end of August this year.
If
you are interested in participating in this meaningful activity, please register with us
by sending your names to: register@kagyubuddhist.org
. You may send us the number of chantings you
have completed on weekly, bi-weekly or monthly bases.
You may also send us the total amount of chantings at the end of August. We will post the amount of chantings completed in a weekly progress report on our website. When we have collected one million chantings of the
Medicine Buddha Mantra, Lama Tashi will lead KTZL to perform, on behalf of all
participants, a service to dedicate the merits to the well beings of all walks of life.
To
register and to submit your chanting report, please send email to: register@kagyubuddhist.org . You may also fax your
chanting report to 416-292-0111.
